Bsnl type 1 modem wifi

I have broadband connection at my home, my rental wired modem which given from BSNL got damaged and they suggest me to purchase new one from open market. Now i decided to buy a basic wifi modem. Can you suggest me which will be the better one for my home use? Is the method shown in this video the right way of doing it?
