Microsoft office 2010 screenshots

It seems that SharePoint Workspace I wonder why? The NDA was lifted back during the Technical Preview via several posts elsewhere, including two from me. There are two things we can't do:. The very fact that no x64 version for OpenSolaris exists is ratther embarrassing because the predecessor of OpenOffice StarOffice began as a Solaris application suite, and came to Windows dead-last.

The last major bit operating system gets the first bit productivity suite. The second scariest thing is how stable the x64 core code is. All the problems I have had are restricted not just to Outlook, but are entirely due to the Outlook Connector for Hotmail; Outlook minus the Connector is easily the most stable core Outlook ever, and I've run every version of Outlook for Windows! I cannot remember off hand would have to edit when i get home. Search In. Microsoft Office Beta Screenshots and Impressions!

It's pretty sweet, but, uh, aren't you under the NDA still? I know I am, and posting this could get you in a bit of trouble if they can trace your username.

The reason there are ads is because this is a free version, of course they want it to be annoying, they want to sell you office! Right now I think like most people I'm using Office , and it's pretty neat. I believe has some more enhanced graphics capabilities, which is what keeps me involved mostly with it I guess, haha. The ads are annoying. With as much money as Microsoft has, you would think they can do without the ads.

The last time I went to install Digsby on my laptop, it prompted me to install a bunch of essentially adware. I said no thanks, and didn't install it at all. Adium on the other hand, is still awesome.

I got into the Beta for this. It runs pretty nicely : A few missing features and ads are a bit annoying. But still nice :. As long as the ads ONLY show up in the bottom-right, it's tolerable. The entire screen gets replaced with a full-screen menu which includes more information than before, along with easier to use and understandable menus. These settings and options are subject to change as due with the ongoing developmental stages. The user interface has become more refined and easier than before.

Now you can load up an application and know exactly where to go, almost with your eyes shut. The entire experience has becomed more streamlined.

Even though a lot of the user interface has changed, it is still easy to begin when you left off with a previous Office version. Every application now has the Ribbon, but can easily be minimised. You will also notice that each Office application has its own "theme colour", so PowerPoint has orange and Publisher has green. This makes it easier to differentiate between applications, even though some differences are quite obvious. Clearly in some applications, such as OneNote, even though the design and feel of the application has changed, it still feels very much the same.

A lot of work is still needed to ensure that each application starts, runs and ends the same way. Because I do not have a touch-screen device, I cannot test OneNote effectively. What I did notice, however, is the dropping of the "Office" title in the title bar. InfoPath is more designed for business and database users, so a lot of consumers will have little need for forms and form templates. Again, with the Ribbon, it allows each application to have very separate menus but keeping the confluent, simple look.

Excel seems to be very much the same as it was before. I cannot see any particularly new features, partly due to backwards compatibility. I'm sure further on down the development cycle we will see features being added and changes in the way we can use the applications. Paste preview Another new feature we appreciate, Paste Preview does away with blind cutting and pasting by showing you what items in the clipboard will look like when you paste them into a document.

It works across most of the applications of Office Once you have content stored in the clipboard, just mouse-over the paste button to view available paste options. Image editing If you use images in your documents, you'll now be able to perform simple edits from within many of the applications. Choose from several different image effects without ever opening an image editor. Like most of the new features in Office , these features are found easily in the navigational Ribbon.

Working as an enhanced replacement for the File menu, Backstage view brings related, but separate tasks onto one page for easy access. You can print, save, set permissions, or share with other people, all with just a few mouse clicks.
