Reading mentor program

The innovative Read, Think, Share mentoring program partners students across the country, many in underserved communities, with college student mentors. The program not only provides the students with positive feedback and academic support, but also time spend corresponding with strong role models.

Through correspondence with their mentors, students build reading comprehension skills, gain experience asking and answering questions, and are encouraged to offer their observations and opinions about the books they read. As young adults themselves, the mentors are able to relate to the students in ways that differ from the way teachers and other adults relate to them.
