I had and still do have a network which includes a vista desktop, a win 10 laptop and a printer. When I open the network setting on the vista machine I can view the network but when I try to connect I get a messge that windows cannot access the win 10 computer, check the spelling of the Name. When I had win 8.

Followed your advise, win 10 laptop did update after it timed out, I reran the update and it said it was up to date. The vista machine said it was up to date.. Still get the same message and cannot connect.
